I primarily handmake jewelery from semi precious gemstones, sterling silver, vintage beads and anything else that catches my eye! I also create what I would define as one-off jewelry along with more conceptual jewelery. I notice that many jewelry artisans follow an established style. I am not at that point in my experience. The elements have a life of their own.
The piece pictured here I would catagorize as a more conceptual piece. I tend to design minimally, letting the characteristics of the focal point dictate the design. Also I'm interested in pairing natural materials with manmade. This piece incorporates a metal tube resting ontop of a natural vintage disk.
I also like to design the pieces that link design to function and have wrapped a piece of silver plated wire to serve as a link that spirals around the cord.
